Fit-out and infrastructure works for division of Multichoice

The Samrand Data Centre involved the conversion of an existing cold storage facility into a 4000m2 Tier III data centre. The overall project
was completed in 3 phases.

Phase 1
Involved the construction of a 2000m2 concrete slab to split the existing warehouse facility into two floors. Installation of the mechanical cooling
system, permanent power, emergency power, diesel storage facilities and construction of UPS room, DB room, MUX rooms, ICR room, OPTINET
Computer room, Uplink Room, server room and the antennae infrastructure.

Phase 2
Following the jacking of the existing steel roof structure to provide additional headroom on the 1st floor, we carried out the fit-out of the 1st floor to effectively double the capacity of the data centre.

Phase 3
Once the data centre was fully operational, we constructed 250-car parking facility on grade, along with a further 2 satellite dish antennas.
